    How a Cinematic Content Refresh Helped The Marina Mindarie Increase Website Traffic by 48%

    The Challenge

     

    The Marina Mindarie already had an incredible waterfront location, multiple dining experiences, accommodation, and major seasonal events. The problem was that none of that emotion translated online.

     

    Their website relied heavily on dated imagery and lacked a cohesive visual identity that captured the energy, atmosphere, and lifestyle of the marina. While the venue itself delivered a memorable in-person experience, the digital experience was struggling to create the same emotional connection.

    For hospitality and tourism venues, first impressions happen long before someone walks through the doors. Potential guests are deciding whether a place feels exciting, premium, relaxing, or worth visiting within seconds of landing on a website or social profile.

     

    The goal was simple: Create visuals that made people feel something immediately.

    Our Strategy

     

    Rather than creating disconnected content pieces, we approached the project as a full visual refresh designed to work across multiple touchpoints.

    We produced:

    • A 1 minute 40 second cinematic brand film

    • Three short-form social media reels

    • A full photography suite

    • Updated landing page visuals and homepage hero content

    Every asset was designed to work together across the website, social media, LinkedIn, and Meta advertising campaigns.The focus was not just showcasing the marina, but communicating the feeling of being there.

    Production Approach

     

    To capture the venue at its most visually impactful moments, we planned production around sunrise and sunset when the marina naturally came alive through softer light, reflections on the water, and a more cinematic atmosphere. This allowed us to create a visual identity that felt elevated, immersive, and emotionally driven rather than overly corporate or transactional.

    We focused heavily on movement, atmosphere, lifestyle moments, and environmental storytelling to help potential visitors imagine themselves experiencing the venue firsthand.

    Distribution & Rollout

     

    The content was rolled out across multiple digital channels, including:

    • Homepage hero video placement

    • Updated landing page visuals

    • Organic social media content

    • Meta advertising campaigns

    This created consistency between paid traffic, social discovery, and the website experience itself.

    Rather than sending visitors from an engaging ad to a disconnected website, the visual language remained cohesive throughout the customer journey.

    Results

     

    Following the rollout of the refreshed content, The Marina Mindarie experienced a significant increase in digital engagement and website traffic.

    Key reservation pages saw some of the strongest growth:

    • Reservation at The Boat: +100%

    • Upcoming Events: +66%

    • Reservation at Indian Ocean Brewing Co: +63%

    • Overall website traffic increased by 47.6%, with total users increasing by 42.3%.

    The strongest surge occurred in late December, aligning with the rollout of the updated content and seasonal promotional activity.

    While many factors contribute to hospitality performance during peak periods, the refreshed visuals gave the venue a stronger digital presence during one of the most competitive booking windows of the year.
